The Ijegun Liquids Storage Terminal sits at Ijegun-Egba, Amuwo-Odofin, on the Lagos channel. It is the physical centre of gravity for Emadeb Energy Group: a sixty-million-litre tank farm commissioned in 2014 and expanded in 2017 with dedicated aviation-fuel storage.
The tanks are not an accessory to trading. They are the reason cargoes can be received, certified and released with the rhythm the Nigerian market actually requires.
Premium Motor Spirit occupies 33.14 million litres. Automotive Gas Oil, 14.24 million. Aviation Turbine Kerosene, 12 million. A private jetty takes ships off the congestion of shared berths. Twelve loading arms can put 120 to 150 trucks on the road in a day. A laboratory stands between every incoming cargo and the market.
From any desk in the group - Lagos, Abuja or London - the loading system can be observed. That is not a slogan. It is how the terminal was specified: automated, auditable, and built to be a one-stop shop for refined products.
Host communities around Ijegun live with the consequences of that throughput. Industry estimates put 20 to 30 million litres moving out of the corridor each day. Emadeb’s position, stated publicly by the Group CEO, is that an economic hub of that scale carries an equal duty of roads, drainage, traffic discipline and fire readiness.
